Then the Lord said to him, "Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? But give what is inside the dish to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

I find this to be an amazing statement.

That is crazy. The fact that Christ just said inside is filled with greed and wickedness, but if you give it to the poor, it will be made clean for you. The question of course is, Are they giving greed and wickedness to the poor? That would be a cold act. But I believe that for the pharisees it was that, but giving it out would transform the whole makeup of it into a pure act of love. Because for the poor, they have nothing to be greedy about. Well this is what I think about it all.
